Link Cyclone
As the search engines become more aware of the smart SEO methods being deployed – by people like you who follow the advice on this site
– link building strategies need to become even smarter so as to look natural to the search engines and avoid leaving footprints that show the automated SEO tools being used. That’s why we developed the Link Cyclone method.
A link cyclone harnesses the power of existing SEO tools and techniques to deliver a powerful SEO solution. It takes a bit of time and effort to set up but after that it runs on autopilot, pushing an enormous amount of link juice to your website and accelerating your site’s ranking in the search engines.
WARNING – We do not recommend using the Link Cyclone method on sites that are less than 6 months old.
The diagram below shows the basic structure of a link cyclone and if you prefer you can watch the link cyclone presentation.
Here is how to set up a link cyclone.
Step 1 – Set Up Your Website
You should ensure your website or blog is well optimized and that you know what your main keywords and your LSI keywords are. Learn about keyword research, learn about website optimization.
Step 2 - Write and Publish Articles
You should write and publish 4 unique articles that are well optimized around your keywords. We would suggest publishing 2 articles with Ezine Articles and 2 with The Free Library but if you have other preferred article directories it’s fine to use them as long as they are DoFollow. The resource box of each article should link exclusively to your website (deeplinking is fine).
Step 3 – Create Web 2.0 Properties
For each article create 3 web 2.0 properties. We recommend creating mini site or article reviews on sites like Squidoo, Hi5 or Technorati. Each web 2.0 property should link exclusively to just one of your articles. Check out our Traffic Mania resource page for more options around web 2.0 properties and article sites.
Step 4 – Set up Link Pyramids
You should set up a link pyramid for each of your web 2.0 properties. We strongly recommend using link pyramid software that will enable you to automate this part of the process. Ideally, you will create a full link pyramid for each web 2.0 property each month – use multiple keywords but just a single url. The link pyramid software provided by Auto SEO Backlinks makes this part of the process super easy and ensures that you are getting contextual backlinks pointing to your web 2.0 properties. Learn how to set up a link pyramid.
Step 5 – Sit Back and Relax
That’s it, once you have set up your link cyclone it will ensure there is a lot of link juice flowing to your website on autopilot. This means you really can sit back, relax and watch your website secure multiple #1 spots in the search engine rankings. Or of course, you could set up another link cyclone for another niche or maybe expand your virtual real estate by creating more sites in new niches – you will have time on your hands because once it is set up, the link cyclone runs itself. From time to time, you might want to write an additional article or two and create a few new web 2.0 properties just to keep things fresh and looking natural.

Great article. Would min cyclones work for less aged sites?

I wouldn’t recommend using a Link Cyclone on sites less than 6 months old as it is too much link juice to look natural. And the key with new sites is to build up a link structure gradually at first before unleashing more powerful link building tools.

What is a rule of thumb for backlinking on a weekly/monthly basis? I don’t use automated software. I write all my comments, replys, etc.

That gets harder to do when you have more and more sites which is why I use sensible automation startegies for backlinking. I would say if you are doing it manually I would imagine 10-20 backlinks a day would be good going, especially if you are also working on adding quality content to your site(s) and interacting with your visitors.

10-20 seems reasonable and I do agree that if you have a network of sites, it can become very cumbersome. I’m looking to build a strong solid foundation before I think about automation. I know the popular software out there and I know people who use them, but I’m fighting the urge to have a hugh link velocity in fear of the SEs dinging me

Yes, too many links too quickly can be a problem. The other thing to consider is syndicating your blog posts on 3rd party blogs like tumblr, wordpress, typepad, blogger etc. You could do this manually or automate by using a tool like WP-Syndicator.
Once you have a network of content on your 3rd party blogs AND articles or web 2.0 properties and you have generated some backlinks for them (blog commenting, social monkee etc.), you can then begin to automate – directing some links at your own site and others at the high authority backlinks that you have created.
Well, day by day search engine seems to be analyzing the techniques used by those SEO to get quick results for their website. Instead I always suggest to optimize the website looking to the benefits for end users will always pay you back in terms of good end user experience and they will be always enthusiast to come back again on the site.
